Practicas are intended to be a relaxed, informal opportunity to practice tango. At practicas you are welcome to ask participants for help, discuss steps with each other, practice technique alone or with others, and dance with the same or different partners. You can also request specific songs from the host.
TSCC Saturday practica
The Tango Social Club of Canberra holds a practica most Saturday afternoons (2.00-4.00pm) at the Italian Cultural Centre, 80 Franklin St, Forrest. It is free for Club members. We try and keep our Facebook page up to date with changes to the practica and members are informed of changes via email. You can also email the practica coordinator for more information.
It is hosted by Club members who volunteer to help. We always need volunteer hosts and new practica volunteers will be provided with all the support they need to set up and run practica. Being a practica host is a great way to get to know other dancers and the music, and an easy way to help the Club and give back.
