EVENTS THAT THE CLUB's DEMONSTRATION GROUP PARTICIPATES IN
The TSCC Demonstration Group anticipates participating in the following regular events:
Multicultural Festival (MCF) http://multiculturalfestival.com.au/
February each year, this event showcases the many cultural influences on the Canberra community, and the TSCC has participated in the past through an outdoor milonga in Garema Place, aiming to demonstrate tango and attract interest from ACT residents.
Connect & Participate Expo (CAP-EXPO or CON-EXPO): held for the first time in March 2014, this event aims to show the community of Canberra the range of recreational activities available in the ACT region.
National Folk Festival (NFF): held annually over the Easter weekend in Canberra since 1992, this event draws 12,000 people a day, and is one of the largest and oldest folk culture events in Australia. The TSCC has participated over previous years, with performances, lessons, and milongas.
Ausdance Dance Week: this event is held in the first week of May and is part of a national promotion of dance. The TSCC has participated in this event in previous years, with performances at the Belconnen Markets, for example.
Floriade: held in September and October, this is the largest display of spring flowers in Australia and draws a national audience of 400,000.
On the weekends the ACT government includes a wide variety of performances on Stage 88, near the floral displays in the Commonwealth Gardens.
