Coming Events

BASH: Buenos Aires in the Southern Highlands, Friday 20 - Sunday 22 November
What do tango events have in common with the Matrix, Star Wars and Dirty Dancing? If they're good, then there's bound to be a sequel!

The first BASH (Buenos Aires in the Southern Highlands - I'm sure all you public servants can work out where the acronym came from) was such a sucess we repeated it in 2008 with BASH II and now we're back with BASH III. A joint event with Tango Synergy (Sydney), last year saw over 100 tangueros and tangueras from all over Australia rendezvous in Bundanoon, a sleepy little town halfway between Sydney and Canberra.

This year will see us repeat the same successful recipe as previous years with of course the traditional new improved flavour. Starting on Friday evening and running through till Sunday afternoon, BASH will offer two practicas, two milongas, DJs from around Australia, a live band, a beginners tango workshop, tango films, guided walks, yoga, tai chi ... and not to mention the impromptu after parties and breakfast tango in the kitchen! In between Tango Central (the Bundanoon Memorial Hall), the Bundanoon Hotel and Ye olde Bicycle Shoppe you'll have also find plenty of chances to chat, dance, share apple pecan pie and get to know lots of other tangueros and tangueras. For more details, see
Events Calendar - milongas.

Next Practica?

Practica returns to the St John Church Hall, on Constitution Ave, Reid, behind CIT. Check the practica roster for details.
